Ski Holiday Winter Park Colorado: Winter Park is the closest ski resort to Denver and the oldest continuously operated ski resort in the State. Its longevity comes down to one thing - its snowfall. Consistently the highest snowfall of all of the Major Ski Resorts (Wolf Creek and Silverton don't count in that mix!) in the State, Winter Park is "guaranteed" snow. It has also been going through some growth and development since the day to day operations were taken over by Intrawest Colorado a couple of years back. The redevelopment of the base village is well underway with two new lodges scheduled to open this season (Founders Pointe and Frasers Crossing), and the $50 million "on mountain"
improvement program is taking Winter Park forward into a new era.

The Valley is experiencing a new revitalizing buzz with new homes and complexes being developed and the standard of the on mountain experience being enhanced every day. Winter Park has always been a destination Resort, and a favorite for groups. Now it has the facilities to compete in the wider market with an abundance of new lodging choices, and new facilities, restaurants and nightspots appearing all of the time.
