Copper Mountain Colorado Ski Holidays: Copper Mountain is consistently voted as the "Locals Favorite" Mountain in Summit County (which includes, Breckenridge, Keystone and A-Basin). Maybe the locals know a thing or two.... The base village at Copper is small, so less skiers, the mountain is bigger, so less skiers, Vail (still #1 Mountain in Nth. America) is a mere 25 minutes further drive on I-70, so less skiers. Add to that a relaxed atmosphere, great skiing in the back bowls, some awesome tree skiing (you may have to follow a few locals tracks to hit the good stuff), exellent terrain park, and predictable snow (most early season race camps are held here), but maybe I shouldn't be telling you all this....
